BitterRoot Bus and MR TMA of Missoula is applying for our annual 5311 grant from the Montana Department of Transportation. Due to recently enacted federal legislation, BitterRoot Bus is required to develop a community Transportation Coordination Plan.
BitterRoot Bus and MR TMA is required to hold public hearings in order to give all citizens the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed plan. Public hearings are set up for December 12, 2016 at 310 Old Corvallis Rd. Conference Room from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and January 9, 2017, at 310 Old Corvallis Rd. This is to notify all interested parties that BitterRoot Bus is applying for $ 128,781.00  under the Section 5311 Program for the Federal Transit Administration entitled “Financial Assistance for Other than Urbanized Areas,” administered by the Montana Department of Transportation. Funding will be used for operating expenses associated with providing transportation services to the general public within Ravalli County, Montana. Interested parties should meet at the parking lot of River Park at 3:00 p.m. for the Tour and/or arrive at Town Hall, Council Chambers, at 4:30 p.m. for an informal open discussion.
