The Lady Falcons of Florence continued their winning streak with two wins in the District 6B tournament and took the championship. They will advance to the Western B Divisional tournament that begins on Thursday in Anaconda.
Florence opened their district tournament play against Ronan. Ronan defeated Mission to advance to play the Lady Falcons who had a first-round bye. Florence dominated the first game with strong play at the net and serving. Ronan couldn’t stop Megan Kowalski at the net, especially when Shay Waldbillig set the ball low for her.
Florence tightened their play in the second game and won, 25-6. But Ronan came back in the third game and took the lead early. They led throughout until Hudsyn Doty-DiBrito stepped up to serve. She served three straight points including an ace to take the lead and win the game, 25-20 and the match.
Florence has the No. 1 seed going into the Western B tournament. They will play Thompson Falls at 10am on Thursday in Anaconda.

The Darby Lady Tigers finished third in District 13C behind Valley Christian and Seeley-Swan who surprised Valley Christian and took the championship.
Darby opened against Victor and topped them in four games in an evenly matched match. After that, they defeated Lincoln in three games. They then lost to Valley Christian in the second round. The Lady Tigers played tough in the losers’ bracket and defeated Lincoln, and Clark Fork before falling to Valley Christian.
