The Hamilton golf team is off to a good start. With several tournaments already in the books, the boys’ team is playing tough behind the play of Max Toenjes. He tied for first at the Butte Central Invitational with Tyge Yelenich. Last Thursday, he shot a 71 to lead the Broncs to a first place finish at the Columbia Falls Invitational.
Also finishing in the top 10 in the Columbia Falls Invitational were freshman Tristan Hanson and Blaine Wetzsteon who each shot a 77 and finished tied for third. Cannon Hawkes finished in 10th place.
The Hamilton girls finished in second place at Columbia Falls behind Whitefish. Melissa Kimp shot a 106 which put her in seventh place. Liz Roberts finished in 10th place with a 110.
Stevensville’s Zel Frost finished ninth at the Columbia Falls Invitational. Stevensville finished fourth in the tournament. Both the Corvallis boys and the Corvallis girls finished well in the tournament but did not have any golfers in the top ten.
