Stevi Class of ’81 reunion
The Stevensville High School Class of 1981 is having a 35th Class Reunion during the upcoming Creamery Picnic. Darby Library program
With support from Museum of the Rockies and Project Archaeology, the Darby Community Public Library presents “Explore Pompeii” at the library on Wednesday, July 20 at 1 p.m. with a Mt. Talent show
Wild Wednesday Talent Show will be held Wednesday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Bitterroot Public Library. What’s your talent? Are you ready to show us what you can do? This is your chance! Kids of any age are welcome to share their dancing, singing, athletic, or any skills during the Talent Show at the Bitterroot Public Library. Back Country Horsemen
Bitter Root Back Country Horsemen host the second in their series of outdoor summer meetings on Thursday, July 21, at the Larry Creek Trailhead, located up Bass Creek Rd. Potluck dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and the general meeting starts at 7 p.m. Guest speaker is James Brown, a recent participant in the “Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge” and owner of City Slicker Horsemanship Training. He will discuss how his program produces safe horses for equine activities and the importance and safety involved in training and horsemanship. Upcoming July and August trail projects will be presented and signups for the fair start. Golden Age dance
The Golden Age Club will hold a dance on Friday, July 22 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Golden Age Hall, 727 S. Fifth Street in Hamilton. The “slightly famous” Jammers will provide the music featuring waltzes and two steps. Admission is $3.00 per person. During music break there will be potluck snacks. Bring a treat! The club will provide coffee.
The Victor class of 1961 will meet at the dance to begin its class reunion. You are invited to stop by and help the class kick off its reunion with dancing and conversation. Any Victor High School graduates are especially invited. (Three Victor School graduates will be playing in the band).

Art in the Park
The Bitterroot Art Guild will hold its 46th Annual “Art in the Park” on Saturday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Legion Park in Hamilton.
Lots of art and crafts will be featured. Proceeds go to the group’s scholarship fund for local students.

Daly Days at Daly Mansion
Activities for Daly Days at the Mansion on Saturday, July 23 include a re-enactment from the year 1912 with living history performers depicting family and friends of the Dalys that actually visited in that summer. Find out what connection the Daly family had with the sinking of the Titanic. Chat with those characters and you may win a prize and enjoy samples of homemade ice cream. There will also be fun activities on the grounds for children including pony rides, face painting and formal children’s tea parties. You will also find the delightful tunes of the Bitterroot Ragtime Society coming from the outdoor gazebo. This is the one time per year that the Mansion volunteers bring out the original restored Daly family carriages and some other interesting antique lawn equipment. Plus there will be vintage cars on display down the lane. Children’s Tea parties will be limited to 20 children each and take place at 12 and 2 p.m. Sign up when you come to the admission table. General admission is $6 per adult. Children ages 12 and under are free for all activities. There will be a hotdog lunch available for $3 and also the Daly Mansion volunteers’ bake sale. The daytime festivities take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you haven’t visited the Mansion yet, this is the perfect day to do it.
Trekker Kids
Montana State Parks will host the Trekker Kids program ‘All About Habitats’ on Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at Travelers’ Rest State Park, 6717 Hwy 12 W, Lolo. The National Wildlife Federation will be the guest for a special Trekker Kids event ‘All About Habitats’. The National Wildlife Federation will teach what habitats are and what habitats are right here at Travelers’ Rest State Park. This program is part of Trekker Kids and is open to kids around 5-10 years old. Trekker Kids is a series of activities and programs for children and families that celebrate the outdoors of western Montana and the rich history of the Travelers’ Rest site. Museum kids’ activity
Daly Days Horse Racing will be the topic of the July 23rd Saturday Learning Adventure Series from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Ravalli County Museum, 205 Bedford, Hamilton. Kids can create a thoroughbred racehorse out of different supplies and race their horse in a horse race! This event is free. Call 363-3338 for more information.
Daly Mansion BBQ/Concert
Come and relax on the shaded lawns of the Daly Mansion for a barbecue dinner and entertainment by cowboy singer, Dave Stamey, on Saturday, July 23. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. with the concert at 6:30 p.m.
Dave is no stranger to Montana and will draw you in with his wonderful lyrics depicting life in the West.
Cowboys and Indians Magazine has called him “the Charley Russell of Western Music.” Dave has been a cowboy, a mule packer, a dude wrangler, and is now one of the most popular Western entertainers working today. He has been twice voted Entertainer of the Year, three times Male Performer of the Year and twice Songwriter of the Year by the Western Music Association, and received the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. Barbecue dinner before the concert will be provided by The Notorious P.I.G. from Missoula with an ice cream sundae bar for dessert. Local musician Bob Webber will start off the evening’s entertainment. Tickets are $40 per person, including dinner. Call 363-6004 #2 for reservations by July 15. The Victor Heritage Museum volunteers will be cooking “Breakfast in the Park” on Sunday, July 24 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Victor Park. Waffles, sausages, orange juice, coffee and camaraderie. Angie Dobberstein and Bruce Gould will be cooking. All are welcome.
Victor School reunion

Lutheran VBS
Our Savior Lutheran Church of Stevensville invites local children to 2016’s Vacation Bible School the week of July 25-29. VBS is free of charge and open to children aged four through those entering sixth grade. Children will be taught through Bible stories that God cares for them, loves them, even knows their names. They will learn that while sin separated them from God, He has an amazing plan to bring each of them back into His great family through the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. Registration will begin on Monday, July 25 at 8 a.m. Crafts, music, games, and Bible activities will be featured Monday through Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided at break and outdoor activity time. Rotary Club
Brent Taggart, a coach for the Hamilton Boxing Club, will be the speaker for the next meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club, on Monday, July 25 at 12 noon at BJ’s Restaurant, 900 N. 1st Street, Hamilton. SpectrUM at Darby Library
North Valley Public Library invites you to the final session of the Summer Science Club on Monday, July 25. SpectrUM Science, from Missoula, will be returning as a special guest. There will be two sessions for different age groups: 4 to 4:45 p.m. for children ages 10 and under, and 5 to 5:45 p.m. for children ages 11-18. Participants will be working with strawberry DNA. Tuesdays at ‘The Patch’
Summer activities in “The Patch,” a youth garden at the Daly Mansion, are held every Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. through August 9. Children are invited for an hour of exploring nature in the garden through outdoor activities, creative expression and open exploration. Activities include crafts and fresh snacks made from the garden, an ecology themed book reading, music and more! The garden season will end with the Harvest and Pumpkin Party on Saturday, October 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. Help harvest the rest of this year’s bounty and decorate some pumpkins.

NVPL ‘Tea and Tranquility’
The Adult Coloring group, Tea and Tranquility, is now a monthly event at the North Valley Public Library and will meet on Tuesday, July 26. Bring your favorite mug to the Library for tea and treats every final Tuesday of the Month from 6 to 7 p.m. Grab a chair and join in discussion with others, or grab some colored pencils and try your hand at an array of stress relieving coloring sheets.
