Margaret Ellen Lindstrom

June 14, 2016 by Editor

lindstromMargaret Ellen Lindstrom died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home in Florence, MT, where she was surrounded by family.
Margaret was born at the family home in Epping, ND, to Lawrence W. and Elsie Wilson. Margaret was the fifth of six children. She enjoyed close and enduring ties with her one brother and her four sisters who all preceded her in death.
The Wilson family moved to Everett, WA where she attended elementary school and high school and studied at Everett Junior College.
She married Leander H. Lindstrom and their children, son William and daughter Sharon, were born in Everett. They raised their children in Lake Stevens. Margaret was busy with work and family as well as being involved with several community groups.
When Margaret and Lee retired they moved to Carleton, WA and later moved to Florence. Family, church and community were once again a big part of her life. When Lee preceded her in death, Margaret stayed busy.
In 1999, Margaret was honored by being chosen as “Ravalli County Senior of the Year.” She was an active member in her church, several senior centers, the Ravalli County Council on Aging and she was an “Information Counseling Assistant” for the Area Agency on Aging. She was busy in her community and loved being of help to all.
How wonderful for her family and friends to be loved and cared for by Margaret. We will all miss her.
A family memorial will be held in Washington later this summer.
