All of the valley’s softball teams were in Frenchtown for their annual tournament on Friday and Saturday.
Florence lost a close game to Libby, 6-5. Sarah Schurg was the pitcher for Florence. Shay Waldbillig had a triple and Natalie Drozdz had two RBIs. Hamilton and Florence also had a close game with Hamilton. Florence’s rally in the final inning fell short and Hamilton won, 13-12. Hayley Hudgins was the winning pitcher for Hamilton. Waldbillig took the loss for Florence. Natalie Dulac went 3-for-4 at bat for Florence and had two doubles and three RBIS. Caitlin Dillon and Rachael Ringer each had a home run for Hamilton with two RBIs each. Hamilton lost to Polson, 14-8. Tessa Della Silva had three RBIs and a triple for the Lady Broncs.
Stevensville topped Ronan, 5-1. Sarah Morrison was the winning pitcher. Sam Hambrick had a double and Haley Kampka knocked in two Stevensville runners. The Yellowjackets fell to Thompson Falls, 11-8, in their second game. Kampka took the loss. She did have a double and an RBI.
Corvallis picked up a win over Mission, 10-6. Taia Tully was the winning pitcher for the Blue Devils. Tully also had two home runs and six RBIs. Nicole Turner went 2-for-3 and had a double.
