Kim ‘Kimmer’ Roberts

April 12, 2016 by Editor

Kim Edwin “Kimmer” Roberts, 62, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home. Kimmer was born in Missoula, Montana on March 22, 1954 to Lloyd Russell Roberts and Violet Olsen Roberts.
Violet preceded Kimmer in death when he was a young boy. Afterwards, his father remarried to Frieda Permann. Together they raised Kimmer and his eight siblings. He attended schools in both Darby and Hamilton, graduating in 1972 from Hamilton.
After high school Kimmer worked in the log home business. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors. Kimmer loved camping, fishing, boating, golf, gardening and skiing. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool and darts with his many friends. In 1981, Kimmer was blessed with his only son, Cortney. He enjoyed watching Cortney grow up. Then in 2011, his only grandson Mason was born.
Kimmer and his beautiful bride, Melisa, were married in July of 2004. They enjoyed many trips together to the Philippines. He loved being on the water, relaxing on the beach, scuba diving, and getting to know his extended family there. He was looking forward to their next trip there and was considering his retirement to be there.
Kimmer was preceded in death by his parents, his loving stepmother, grandparents, and his siblings, Carl, Rick, Dave, and Leanne. He is survived by his wife Melisa of Hamilton; his son, Cortney and grandson Mason of Corvallis; his siblings, Barry Roberts (Pam) of Alberton, Sheila Chaffin (Tom) of Hamilton, Douglas and Patricia Gray. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special lifelong friend, Charlie Utzinger.
Per Kimmer’s wishes, there will be no services. Family and friends are planning a Celebration of Life at a later time this summer to “crack open that beer.” Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
