Hello, fellow Stupid Bowl irrigators. Replying to the opinion piece by T.C. Richardson (Star, 1-27-16) well, I would like to personally thank BRID manager Mr. John Crowley for a fine job supplying the water to keep our pastures and hay fields green. Next, I thank the ditch riders who work 24/7 during the irrigation season the keep the water flowing smoothly.
I’m kind of a newcomer to the Bitterroot and the BRID system (23 years) so hopefully you’ll indulge my rants.
Now along comes this massive (4) movement of folks who call themselves the Citizens for Fair Water who call themselves a non-profit organization and only have to hold one meeting a year. What do you do besides this one meeting that I don’t see advertised (like BRID does)? Sit around in secret meetings, pick your noses and pass gas and make the irrigation water cost more? What is your objective?
I’m happy to be a stupid Bitterroot water user.
Why are you sniveling?
