The Stevensville Lady Yellowjackets picked up a non-conference win over Thompson Falls on Friday. Stevensville rallied from a five point deficit at the end of the first half to score 20 points in the third quarter. The two battled back and forth in the final frame. Stevensville took the lead with a little more than a minute remaining when Megan Pendergast picked off a pass and made the lay up. An inside shot by Deanna Blair padded the margin and then Ashlynn Harrington sank a trey to put the Lady ‘Jackets up, 58-51. Pendergast had 15 points and Mariah Hinson and Makayla Davids each added 10. Stevensville struggled at the free throw line, sinking only 10 of 26 shots.

Corvallis also picked up a non-conference win. The Blue Devils defeated the Anaconda Copperheads, 46-29. Corvallis controlled the game from the tip-off. Corinne Sanderson scored 17 points to lead all scorers. Corvallis now has a 5-7 overall record.

Hamilton had a tough couple of games. They played Big Sky on Thursday in non-conference action. The Lady Eagles held Hamilton scoreless in the first quarter and went on to win, 50-20. Kloie Nye had six points to lead Hamilton.

League-leading Butte Central came to town on Saturday. The Lady Broncs played tough and held their own against the Maroons but Butte Central’s offense built a margin that the Lady Broncs could not overcome. Hamilton scored 19 points in the final frame but it was not enough. Hamilton fell, 44-35. Rachael Ringer dropped in 13 points to lead the Lady Broncs.

The Lady Falcons’ offense is gelling at just the right time. They poured in 64 points in a conference win over St. Ignatius on Thursday. Florence jumped out to a 16-point lead at the end of the first quarter. They faltered a bit in the second quarter and only scored six points but then came back to win, 64-34. Chloe Arthur scored 19 points to lead the Lady Falcons. All 12 team members scored in the game.

Victor picked up two wins over the weekend. The Lady Pirates topped Lincoln, 35-12, in District 13C action. Jamie Burdett led the scoring with 18 points and Krissy Kuettel added 12 more.

Victor traveled to Hot Springs on Saturday where they took on the Savage Heat. The Lady Pirates jumped out to and early lead and never looked back. They went on to win, 43-26. Kuettel had 19 points and Alyssa Hopper added eight more. Victor is now 5-8.

Darby topped Philipsburg and Valley Christian to move up the standings in District 13C. The Lady Tigers defeated Philipsburg, 42-36. Kylie Fisher, Lily Lang and Peyton Muir scored 10 points each in the win. Philipsburg took an early lead but then a stifling defense by Darby in the second quarter held the Lady Prospectors to only three points in the second quarter.

Darby’s second win of the weekend was against Valley Christian. The Lady Tigers doubled up the Lady Eagles in the first quarter and then rolled on to a 72-26 victory. Lily Lang led the scoring with 16 points. Peyton Muir added 12 more. Darby improved to 6-5 in conference play and 6-8 overall.
