Hamilton – James Roger Agee (Jim), beloved husband, father, and friend, born March 11, 1945, was carried home to be with Our Lord Monday, January 11, 2016. We take comfort in that he left us peacefully, and left behind only strength, conviction, compassion and unequalled love.
Our pride in Jim is unequivocal. His service to our country from 1967-1969 as a member of The Big Red One, First Infantry Division, Army, is a source of pride and admiration for us all.
Jim’s greatest passion, aside from his family, was his career as a Los Angeles City fireman. He joined the department April 14, 1974, and retired 20 years later on June 10, 1994. A hero to those of us who knew and loved him, but for him, it was simply what he was made to do.
Jim is survived by his wife, Nanci Jeannette Agee, his son Cole B. Agee, daughter Amanda Sue Ziegler (Agee), sons Rob L. Peratis and Scott P. Peratis, son and daughters-in-law Lawrence A. Ziegler, Stacy Peratis and Shannon Connors, grandchildren Alex Peratis, Amber Peratis, Zachary Agee, Angela Peratis, Mason Agee, Victoria Johnson, Emma Johnson and Miles Peratis, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and dear, dear friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father Sid Agee, and mother Mary Agee. Jim will be forever missed, and no words can describe his absence.
Jim brought such joy to so many, therefore it is only fitting to empart:
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. At your departure, let us cry in your stead, so that you may rejoice in Heaven.
Always his own man, Jim revered God above all others. God bless, and Godspeed to our real-life, larger than life, beautiful and amazing hero. For a hero, he truly was.
A Masonic memorial service was held at the Masonic Lodge in Hamilton, Montana on Tuesday, January 19th. A reception followed at Jim and Nanci’s home in Corvallis, Montana. Brothers Mortuary and Crematory is honored to serve the family. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.brothersmortuary.com.

Hello Nanci & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I’m Jim’s cousin, Frank Steele’s, daughter. He told me about Jim and I’m so sorry we didn’t know sooner. I don’t think we have a correct address for you so please let us know how we can contact you. The last address we have is Victor MT.
Again, we’re so sorry for your loss and you and your family will be in our prayers. I remember Jim as always having a smile on his face and the picture you posted was perfect! God Bless!
