In December of 1971, Bill Groff hired University of Montana graduate Jim Tadvick to work at Farmers State Bank, Victor. Forty-four years later, Tadvick has decided to retire.
Starting as a Management Trainee, Jim worked at nearly every position available at Farmers State Bank during his 44-year career, ending as the Chief Executive Officer.
Tadvick was also involved in opening Farmers State Bank branch banks, beginning with Florence, Montana’s first state chartered branch bank, in 1990. He went on to open and manage Farmers State Bank locations in Darby (1993) and Stevensville (1997). Tadvick will continue to serve on the bank’s Board of Directors following his retirement.
Jim says he has enjoyed working at a true community bank, and throughout his tenure as a lender he is especially proud of his ability to help people solve problems and achieve success. His coworkers cite his leadership and kindness. Following his retirement, Jim and his wife Leslie plan to spend time visiting his children and grandchildren across the Western US, golfing, and traveling.
Farmers State Bank will hold an open house in Jim Tadvick’s honor on Thursday, December 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Victor location on Main. The public is invited.
