The Victor Pirates held off Seeley-Swan, 22-18, to claim a playoff berth for the Western C conference. Arlee, Flint Creek, and Charlo have already secured their spots.
Victor scored first when Riley DellaSilva caught a 15-yard pass from Steven Scheffer. Jesse Pearson made the two-point conversion good. It was Pearson who caught the next scoring pass, this time from 23 yards out. The final score for Victor was in the second quarter when DellaSilva returned a punt 75 yards. Scheffer called his own number on the two-point conversion and it was good.
Seeley came back in the fourth quarter and scored two touchdowns and two safeties.
Hamilton prevailed in the battle of the Broncs on Friday with a 46-13 win over Frenchtown. Although Frenchtown scored first, it was all Hamilton after that. Cameron Rothie started the scoring with a 70-yard scoring reception. Alex Draper plunged one yard for the next TD. He scored again in the third quarter with a 16 yard run. Bret Huxtable hit Bridger Bauder from 18 yards out for one of his scoring passes. He also had a 19-yard pass to Jonathan Ringer for another six points. Manny Rivera had a two-yard scoring run and Christian Ellis finished out the Hamilton scoring with an 11 yard run.
Stevensville made the long trip to Lewistown for a non-conference match up and nearly pulled off the win. A late score by the Eagles gave them the 20-16 win. James Fry put Stevensville on the scoreboard with a 70 yard run. Jordan Thomas made the two-point conversion good. John Diepstraten had a 50 yard run for the other ‘Jacket score. Fry made the two-point conversion.
Dillon defeated Corvallis, 33-6. Wyatt Haldorson scored on a 13 yard run in the second quarter for the Blue Devils.
Florence lost to Deer Lodge, 20-0. Darby lost to Flint Creek, 47-0.
