The Bitterroot Public Library’s Fellowship Club will meet Thursday, October 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the book, “Your Magnetic Heart: 10 Secrets of Love, Attraction, and Fulfillment” by Ruediger Schache.
Most people have the same fundamental yearnings and questions inside of them. Our most common desire by far is to love and to be loved. And yet, for so many people, love – in its many forms – poses the most difficult challenge of all.
“Your Magnetic Heart” reveals the nature of the mysterious force of charisma and attraction which is present in us all and which determines the course of our relationships and our lives. In this book, life coach Ruediger Schache introduces the spiritual and psychological concept of the “heart magnet” and how it can guide readers to find their true life path. This is explained in ten essential secrets which emphasize self-reflection and are accompanied by practical advice, real-life case histories, and spiritual insights from seers and thinkers. Schache claims that, since love obeys the laws of the universe, those who embrace these secrets can develop a new consciousness and attract those people and events they yearn for.
Ruediger Schache is a German life coach, seminar leader, wisdom teacher and internationally renowned bestselling author of non-fiction books as well as novels. He runs with his wife the Institute for Consciousness Research, a center for the teaching of their work, as well as a surgery for New Medicine. His books have been published in 26 languages.

Confronting death is universal, and each one of us will face it sometime in our lives…being a loved one, friend, acquaintance or our own. Young and old alike, when we face death, there are many questions that will need to be asked: What responsibilities from family and friends are needed? What happens if we don’t have family or a friend to help during an end of life event? How can we show dignity for those dying? How can we best be prepared, emotionally, financially, legally, spiritually?
The series will be every Tuesday evening, beginning, October 6, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s church. The general public is invited to attend any or all of the sessions, which are:

EMT class
Corvallis Rural Fire District is presenting an EMT class. If you have an interest in becoming an EMT, attend an Informational Open House on Wednesday October 14 at 7 p.m. at Corvallis Fire Station #1, 317 Woodside Cutoff Road, Corvallis. You’ll have a chance to meet the instructors for the class as well as the members of the Corvallis QRU. You’ll learn about the requirements to become an EMT in the state of Montana and what you will be expected to do as a part of the class. You’ll also learn what it takes to be a member of the Corvallis QRU. No experience is required, but you must be 18 years or older.
When seconds matter, well trained first-responders can literally save lives. Last year the Corvallis Rural Fire District responded to over 300 emergency medical calls in the Corvallis area. As the community grows, so does the need for well trained EMTs. The QRU (Quick Response Unit) is made up of EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics who volunteer to show up first to an emergency medical call. Emergency medicine is not a fit for everyone, but few things feel as good as helping someone when time and skills are the difference between life and death.
For more information, contact Eric Needles, EMT, Corvallis Rural Fire District, 381-2273.
