
The Hamilton girls’ soccer team continued to control the pitch with a 5-0 win over Stevensville on Thursday and improved to 7-1 overall. The two teams played evenly the first 35 minutes of the match but then Kendal Gordon scored over a Stevensville defender. She scored again just five minutes later, right before the half. In the second half, Reilly Rostad scored at 48 minutes and then just six minutes later, Gordon found the net again. The final Bronc goal was made by Brianna Abrahamsen. Hamilton took 10 shots on goal while Stevensville took three. Stevensville had 14 saves.
Corvallis defeated Loyola, 7-2. Corinne Sanderson had a foot on five different goals. She sent the ball to Rebecca Weidkamp for the first Blue Devil goal. Then, the junior knocked a penalty kick into the net. A little later, she scored off a Hailey Mason assist. Sanderson had two more assists, one to Zena Smith and the last one to Mason. Penny Jessop scored the final Blue Devil goal off an assist by Mason. Corvallis took 34 shots on goal while Loyola only had nine shots. Kira Doyle had eight saves for Corvallis while Loyola’s Morgan Nicholson had 13 saves for the Breakers.
Corvallis took another win, this time over Stevensville, 5-0. Mason and Sanderson had a hand in each goal. Mason took an assist from Sanderson to start the scoring for the Blue Devils. Then Mason fed Sanderson fro two goals. Sanderson hit Smith for the fourth goal and then Mason came back to Sanderson for the final goal. Corvallis took 31 shots on goal while Stevensville had 12 shots. Doyle had nine saves for Corvallis and Maggie Echeverio had six saves for Stevensville.
