I was distressed to read the letter “Climate change must be faced” only to find yet another pointless claim of anthropogenic “Republican” environmental damage to our planet. One question comes to mind, why would someone burn their own house down? Profit, one might say, but that argument does not hold water when standing in your former living room which is now ashes. Moral arguments will not solve any problems faced by mankind nor will government mandates, only the truth will and sadly, no one is interested in truth so I will spell it out for you – personal responsibility.
Personal responsibility seems to have taken a nosedive in America and politicians love it. The chance to sell the public on a new “program” and put money in some friend’s pocket is all they need to jump on the bandwagon for “change”. Climate change, we can fix that, for the right price, got a health issue, don’t bother changing your lifestyle, we can get you free medical and you can keep on being stupid. Speaking of stupid, we will send you to school for as long as you like so you can study something useful like organic dog breeding and make sure you have “economic equality” for your BS career choice.
I keep certain priorities, God, myself, my family, my countrymen; there is no room for “fundamental change” or socialist “programs” to ease the guilt of self-inflicted ignorance. Stop the hate, educate. Peace.
