POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
MAYOR, TOWN OF STEVENSVILLE
The Town of Stevensville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mayor. The Mayor’s job duties include but are not limited to, preparation and execution of the Town budget, working with the Treasurer to administer and report to Council the financial condition of the Town, supervises all Town employees, works with the Council to adopt resolutions and ordinances, administers all meetings of the Town Council, and works to resolve issues brought to the Town by its citizens. Applicants should expect to work a minimum of 20 hours per week with a salary up to $20,000/year. The appointed Mayor will serve the remainder of the current term, which expires 12/31/17. The Ravalli County Board of Health (BOH) will conduct a Public Meeting to receive citizen comment on the variance request, requested by Debra J. Ruggiero for the location known as 5000 Rainer Way, Florence, MT 59833. FY13-14 Audit Report
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an audit of the affairs of the Town of Stevensville has been conducted by Wipfli, LLP. The audit covered the fiscal year 2013-2014 and contains an Independent Auditor’s Report on the Town’s basic financial statements. The report issued for the fiscal year 2013-2014 contains an unqualified opinion.
Summary of Significant Findings
The audit report for the Town of Stevensville for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014, contains an Independent Auditor’s Report on the Town’s basic financial statements. The report issued for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014 expressed an unmodified opinion.
The audit report also contains other auditor’s reports. Following is a listing of the reports and a summary of the findings included in each. This is only a summary and is not intended to be used as an audit report.
1. Report on Internal Control Over Financial Reporting and on Compliance and Other Matters Based on an Audit of Financial Statements Performed in Accordance With Government Auditing Standards. There was one finding in this report as follows:
a. Account Reconciliations: The checking account did not reconcile to the AFR (Annual Financial Report). Additionally, the utility billing reports did not reconcile to the accounts receivable balance as reported on the AFR.
2. Report on Compliance for Each Major Federal Program and Report on Internal Control over Compliance in Accordance with OMB Circular A-133. There were no findings required to be reported in accordance with Government Auditing Standards.
