Stevensville Town Council
The Stevensville Town Council will meet Thursday, August 27 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, 206 Buck Street. Agenda items include: first reading on tree ordinance; discussion/decision on skate park crew trailers and camping at Lewis & Clark Park during construction; discussion/decision to levy 1.7 mills for funding sidewalk repair or replacement; and adoption of final budget, to name a few. The meeting will be preceded by a public hearing at 6 p.m. on the preliminary budget.
Three Mile Center
The Three Mile Community/Senior Center group will meet Thursday, August 27 at 7 p.m. at 1064 Three Mile Creek Road. The group is always looking for ideas to help fund the new community center that is planned to be built with donations and grants (no tax dollars). The plan is to build something that can be used by all of the groups, organizations and private citizens of the community and surrounding area. If you want to be involved, plan to attend! A coffee club is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 to 9 a.m. at the fire hall, 1064 Three Mile Creek Road. All are welcome. For more information call Colleen at 777-3710.

Darby Last Friday
Darby Last Friday will be held Friday, August 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Darby Town Park. There will be art and music, with live music by “Shane Clouse & Stomping Ground Trio.” The public is invited.

Berry program
Montana State Parks is hosting All About Berries at Travelers’ Rest State Park, 6717 Hwy 12 West, Lolo on Saturday, August 29 at 11 a.m.
Most people in Montana know how to recognize a huckleberry but do you know where to look for buffalo berries? And what the heck is a snowberry? Learn about Montana’s native berries, their role in the ecosystem, and what to do with the tasty ones! Weather permitting, the group will walk through the park and try to spot some native berry bushes.
This program is also part of the Trekker Kids series and is open to kids in 2nd through 6th grade. Trekker Kids is a series of activities and programs for kids and families that celebrate the outdoors of western Montana and the rich history of the Travelers’ Rest site. Regular programs are held on Saturdays at 11 a.m. unless otherwise posted. The $2 fee goes to support further Trekker Kids programs.

Center for Spiritual Living
The Center for Spiritual Living presents a community discussion about “Being a Nurturing Community” on Sunday, August 30 at 10 a.m. Come see a short video and enjoy enlightening discussion. Ice Cream Social
The Victor Heritage Museum will be holding its Annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 30 from 12 to 3 p.m. The Ice Cream Social is held yearly as a thank you to the community. There is no charge for this event. Come and visit the Museum, located on the corner of Main and Blake Streets in Victor, in what was formerly a railroad depot. For further information call 642-3997.

Rotary Club
The next meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club, will be Monday, August 31 at 11:30 a.m. BJ’s Restaurant, 900 N. 1st Street, Hamilton. Following lunch, members will adjourn to the Rotary Booth at the nearby Fairgrounds to discuss plans for the Ravalli County Fair, later in the week. The meeting is open to the public. Stevensville Garden Club
The Stevensville Garden Club will have its next meeting on Wednesday, September 2 at 12 noon at b.e. At Home antique store, corner of Main and Central. This will be for the annual potluck/picnic. Guests are welcome. Come have some fun, enjoy good food, visit with a great group of ladies who “love” to talk about gardening…some are “newbies” who just want to learn more, and others are master gardeners who are so helpful, knowledgeable, and invaluable to members and the community. Baked goods auction
The FFA Alumni Baked Goods Auction will take place Wednesday, September 2 at 6 p.m. at the Ravalli County Fair under the KLYQ Entertainment Tent. Come bid on some homemade goodies and support the Stevensville FFA Chapter. For more info or to donate a baked item, call Theresa at 207-1130.
Fair food booth
“Spuds-R-Us” is the newest non-profit food booth at this year’s Ravalli County Fair. “Spuds-R-Us” will benefit four organizations: Corvallis Grange, Bitter Root Humane Association, Daly Mansion and St. Mary’s Mission. Customers will be able to choose their fresh baked russet potato served naked, veggie style with broccoli in cheese sauce, topped with chili & cheese or loaded to the max at family friendly prices. All proceeds from the food booth will help these organizations continue their good work in the community. For more info call 642-3785.
