July 14, 2015 by Editor

Ronald SeversonRonald M. Severson, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2015. Born in Durand, Wisconsin to Vern and Marjorie Severson, Ron spent most of his younger years living in Placentia, California and was a Scoutmaster for four years. He married his high school sweetheart Joan and celebrated 56 loving years together. Ron moved his family to Northern California briefly before finally settling in Stevensville, Montana. Ron served in the military from 1959 to 1965 and worked for the United States Post Office for 28 years before retiring in 1992. He was passionate about coaching his daughters and in his spare time enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and was an avid Griz fan for many years.

Ron was extremely loving and proud of his three daughters, Julie Kindall of Boise married to JT Kindall, Jodi Monahan of Missoula married to John Monahan and Joelle Arne of Denver married to Robert Arne. He is also survived by his wife and best friend Joan Severson, his younger brother Gilbert Severson of Placentia, California, his grandchildren Dan Monahan married to Kim, Jaimi Chansler married to Steve, Mckenzie Arne, Jessa Arne, Drew Kindall, Colton Arne and Derek Kindall as well as three beautiful great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.
We would like to thank Partners in Home Care for helping to make Ron’s final days peaceful.
