Quilters’ Guild
The Bitterroot Quilters’ Guild will meet Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Daly-Leach Community Room, 1010 W. Main, Hamilton. This is the last meeting until September. You will have to wait until 2017 if you miss the 2015 Quilt Show running Saturday, June 27 through Sunday, June 28 at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton.

Marketing seminar
A free Marketing Seminar will be held Thursday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the TownHouse Inn in Hamilton. Scott Watters will give you some creative ideas on how to market your business and help teach you what works and what does not. Blood drives
The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give blood in the weeks surrounding Independence Day to help ensure a sufficient blood supply now and throughout the summer. Donors of all blood types – especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative – are needed. Victor park board
The next meeting of the Victor Park District will be Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. in the Farmers State Bank meeting room in Victor. Discussion items include summer maintenance, breakfast in the park, and several long term projects. Plan to attend, or call Roger at 961-3953 to get involved in keeping Victor’s parks beautiful.
Marine Corps League
The Bitterroot Valley Detachment of the Marine Corps League will meet Thursday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge in Hamilton, 125 N. 2nd Street. Discussion will be on the annual July 4th celebration with Marine families, as well as other business.
Band concert
Bitterroot Community Band will give a concert on Thursday, June 25 at 8 p.m. at the bandshell in Claudia Driscoll Park in Hamilton. Selections include traditional concert band literature, marches, movie themes, Broadway and rock. All are invited!
Saturday, June 27
Golf tournament
The 14th Annual Audrey Ebel Memorial Golf Tournament sponsored by the Stevensville Main Street Association will be held Saturday, June 27 at Whitetail Golf Course in Stevensville. Check in is at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start for the nine hole scramble at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served after the tournament. Cost is $35 and there are numerous prizes and a chance to win a golf cart for a hole-in-one. This is a benefit for the Stevensville Main Street Association, an organization that supports the revitalization and preservation of downtown Stevensville. Expedition Days
Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host Expedition Days at Travelers’ Rest State Park on June 27 and 28, marking the 109th anniversary of the second visit by the Lewis and Clark Expedition with two days of historic programming and family activities.
On Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Travelers’ Rest Brigade will be on hand to provide a slice of life from the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Other activities include historic firearms demonstrations, “Cooking with the Corps”, Native Tools and Toys, and a fly casting demonstration from Casting for Recovery.
The Lolo Brewfest begins at 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Travelers’ Rest Preservation and Heritage Association (TRPHA) and Lolo Peak Brewing Company, this festival will feature beers from all the Bitterroot Valley breweries (Lolo Peak, Blacksmith, Higher Ground, Bitterroot Brewing, Wildwood). Food vendors will also be available.
Beginning at 9 p.m., the film “The Goonies” will be shown on a large outdoor screen. Admission to the movie is $5 per person; children 6 and under are free.
On Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Travelers’ Rest Brigade will again bring their unique skills to the park as well as historic firearms demonstrations, the post Mortem Petting Zoo, Tools of Lewis and Clark, Tipi Raising for kids, Atlatl Demonstration and “Horses: the Unsung Heroes of the Corps”.

Quilt show
The Bitterroot Quilters bi-annual quilt show, “When Life Gives You Scraps…” will be held Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Events Center, First Interstate Building, Ravalli County Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 per person.
Book discussion
The Center for Spiritual Living and Chapter One Book Store invite everyone to a book review and discussion with author Deborah Nelles and her book “After They’ve Gone: Their Blessings Continue” on Saturday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center in Hamilton. Breakfast in the Park will take place every Sunday, starting June 28, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Victor Park. The Victor Eastern Star Chapter will be hosting. Super Hero Science Club continues at North Valley Public Library in Stevensville every Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon for children ages 8-18. This group will have fun throughout the summer… it will be messy, colorful, noisy, possibly stinky, suspenseful and intriguing! Tuesday at Twelve concert series
The Tuesday at Twelve series of free weekly concerts in Hamilton will continue through August 18. The concerts take place on the lawn of the Ravalli County Museum, at Third and Bedford Streets at noon each Tuesday.
The concerts feature a variety of music and musicians, with an emphasis on showcasing local talent. The shady venue invites picnicking, and organizers encourage listeners to pick up a lunch in downtown Hamilton on their way to the concerts. At this time, there are no food or beverage vendors.

A free class entitled “Introduction to Government Contracting” will be presented Tuesday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the RCEDA Conference Room, 274 Old Corvallis Road, Hamilton. The Federal Government is the largest single purchaser of all goods and services produced in the United States. If you add in State and local government, the size of this market is truly staggering. Selling to the government is a challenging and complex business, but it can also be a profitable and reliable addition to the customer base of an established company. Children’s concert
North Valley Public Library welcomes the Sock Rockerz, a singing and dancing team from Nashville, Tennessee. They are touring the country this year, and will be in Stevensville at the library’s Community Room on Wednesday, July 1 at 2:30 p.m. The Sock Rockerz will give a free interactive concert, complete with singing and dancing. Children will sing and learn old favorites, new contemporary songs, fun dances and more! The theme of the concert is teaching children how to become heroes, in small ways and big ways.
