Hamilton softball team wins two

Hamilton and Corvallis battled in Hamilton on Friday on the softball field. Freshman Sky Lopez pitched a complete game for the Lady Broncs and took the 8-2 win. McKayl Rothie batted 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Shaylan Mohn went 2-for-4 with a double as well. Lacey Dolcater, Taylor Reynolds, Kloie Nye, Kelsie Meis and catcher Rachael Ringer all had RBIs for Hamilton.
Taylor Gagnon was the pitcher for Corvallis. Nicole Turner went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. . Hannah Capko and Bobbie Stephen each had RBIs. Stephen was 2-for-3 at bat.
Hamilton fell to Butte Central, 6-0, on Saturday. Lopez and Hayley Hudgins pitched for Hamilton with Lopez taking the loss. Nye went 2-for-3.
Hamilton defeated Anaconda, 12-2, in their second game on Saturday. Lopez earned the win. Rothie went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Taylor Goligoski went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Ringer was 1-for-4 with two Ringers. Tayler Reynolds, Caitlin Dillon and Nye all had RBIs.
Anaconda topped Corvallis, 12-0. But the Blue Devils rallied in their second game of the day and nearly upended Butte Central. The Maroons won, 7-5 in a close game. Taia Tully was the pitcher for the Blue Devils. Tully, Turner, Hannah Brown, Stephen and Capko all hit doubles. Stephens had two RBIs and Tully, Brown and Capko each knocked a runner in.
Stevensville topped Dillon, 10-2, in conference action on Saturday in Dillon. Carly Vercruyssen pitched the win with Megan Finley catching. Finley and Bayleigh Ravanscroft each had home runs for the Lady ‘Jackets. Callie Lendman added two doubles. Cambrea Beller, Finley and Sam Hambrick also had doubles. Finley finished with four RBIs, Beller and Lendman each had two RBIs, and Ravenscroft had one.
