NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Council of the Town of Stevensville will hold a public hearing on March 19th, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Town Council Chambers at 206 Buck Street, Stevensville, Montana, 59870 for the purpose of obtaining public comments on a proposed application to provide a loan to B.E. Forest Products to be used to assist in the purchase of a facility located on the Eastside Highway. The assistance will result in the creation of up to 16 new jobs, all of which will be offered to low and moderate income individuals. The proposed application will be submitted to the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program administered by the Montana Department of Commerce. If the application is successful, the funds would be awarded to the Town of Stevensville.
At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the proposed application. Environmental Assessment for the stevensville airport
The Town of Stevensville and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announce that a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and the Council of Environmental Quality (CEQ) guidelines to analyze the potential environmental impacts of proposed improvements to the Stevensville Airport. The federal regulatory agency with jurisdiction over civil aviation is the FAA, which must review and approve all proposed facilities and development on airport property to ensure compatibility with safe airport operations. The Town of Stevensville proposes to undertake improvements at the Stevensville Airport that include: extension/widening and reconstruction of the existing runway, along with appurtenant features such as replacing runway edge lights and navigational aids; extension of parallel taxiway to the new extended north runway end.
Copies of the “Final Draft Environmental Assessment (EA)” will be available for public review for the next 30-days at the North Valley Public Library (208 Main Street; Stevensville, MT 59870), Stevensville Town Hall (206 Buck Street; Stevensville, MT 59870) and at the office of Morrison-Maierle Inc.
