Montanans may remember the nationally televised debate for United States Senate between Republican Congressman Steve Daines and Democrat Amanda Curtis. During that debate, Daines belittled Curtis for not knowing about a law that would prevent Keystone XL Pipeline oil from being exported.
Fast forward to January 20, and newly elected Senator Daines voted with the rest of the Republicans to reject an amendment that would have prevented oil traveling through the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline from going overseas.
So, Senator Daines, why would you vote against an amendment reinforcing a law you claimed existed and implied you supported? Could it be that you lied? You owe both Amanda Curtis and Montana voters an apology!
