Support for Ray

October 29, 2014 by Guest Post

Jennifer Ray has my support for Ravalli County Justice of the Peace, Dept. 1 because experience counts. Justice Courts routinely deal with citizen’s rights and property and applies the laws enacted by the Legislature. The Justice Court bench is no place for the inexperienced. Jennifer’s previous 12 years experience with the important work of Justice Court make her the only qualified candidate for the job.
Jennifer’s duties as court administrator for Dept. 2 have given her extensive experience in organizing court schedules, office management and budgeting. This administrative experience also includes extensive day-to-day court room experience including acting as a substitute Justice of the Peace for the last 7 years.
As such, Jennifer Ray, in stark contrast to her opponent, comes to the position already prepared having dealt repeatedly with the myriad of cases a Justice of the Peace must hear. These include: misdemeanor criminal cases, initial appearances on felony cases, bail bond hearings, civil suits and temporary orders of protection. These serious matters required an experienced judge. Having appeared in front of her a both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, I can attest not only to her experience, but also to her fairness. For these reasons I ask you to join me in casting your vote for Jennifer Ray for Justice of the Peace, Dept. 1.
