The Corvallis Blue Devils came away with a conference win over Stevensville at Stevensville’s Homecoming on Friday night. The Blue Devils scored twice in the first 90 seconds and went on to win, 58-0. Senior quarterback Jayce Gilder threw three touchdown passes. His first was a 52-yard pass to Jesse Sims. His next receiver was Austin Ray, who caught an 18-yard pass for the score. Gilder hit Taylor Sylvester from 46 yards out in the second quarter. Gilder also had scoring runs of five yards, nine yards, and 15 yards. Sylvester had a pick six from 55 yards out. Spencer Jessop pushed in from four yards out in the fourth quarter. Tanner Miller had the final Blue Devil score with a 65-yard punt return. Sam Burdette converted on four of eight PATs.
Hamilton topped Anaconda, 31-19. The Broncs scoring began with two points on a safety. Karill Apedaile then booted a 36-yard field goal. Bridger Bauder returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He raced 83 yards on the return. Then the conventional Bronc offense got busy. Wyatt Luedecke had a 15-yard touchdown run. Ty Burt caught a 21-yard pass from Bret Huxtable and Luedecke had the final touchdown, an 11-yard run.
Darby rolled over Noxon, 65-6, for a nice Homecoming win. The Tigers scored 37 points in the first quarter alone. Zach McCrossin put the Tigers on the board with a 14 yard run. He then caught a pass from Joe Caicedo for the two-point conversion. The Tiger defense was responsible for three fumble recoveries in the Noxon end zone. Chase Conner, Cory Valenzano and Lane Kayser each scored on fumbles. Conner also had a five-yard scoring run. Jon Beckers scored twice, once with a three-yard run and again on a 49 yard pass reception. Caicedo had a 16-yard touchdown run. Rope Rennaker scored the final Tiger touchdown with a 12-yard romp. Ranon Paredes kicked seven of seven PAT attempts.
Florence lost to St. Ignatius, 36-7. The Falcons lone score was on a blocked field goal.
