Stevensville – Robert “Bob” Sherrod, 65, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home in Stevensville of cancer.
Bob was born September 2, 1948 in Redlands, CA to Jesse and Luella Sherrod. He graduated from high school and later studied Police Science and Communications in college.
Bob was married to Charlene Howe and together they enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage together. Bob’s career included working in Cable Communications as well as a home builder and restorer.
Bob was a member of the Lions Club and was a past president of that organization. He was pilot and flew a Bonanza. He enjoyed riding and packing with his and Charlene’s mules, hunting and restoring old cars. Bob never knew a stranger. He was a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Luella Sherrod, and a brother, Jess Sherrod. Survivors include his wife Charlene; two daughters, Lianna and husband Bill Anderson of Arizona and Gina and husband Dave Evans of California; one granddaughter; two grandsons; one brother, Dick Winegarden.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 354 Cooper Lane in Hamilton. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
