Stevensville, MT – Helen Rose Holanchock died peacefully at home of natural causes August 29, 2014 at the age of 96. Helen lived with her niece, Anita Brown, and family for the last 8 years. Helen was born October 15, 1917 to Mary and Charles Holanchock in Pottsville, PA. She moved to Wisconsin and received her LPN degree and lived there for many years before returning to Pennsylvania to be a care giver for her mother and sister until they passed away. Later she moved to Las Vegas to be near her youngest brother. After he passed away she moved to Montana to be close to her niece and family and lived in her own home for over 15 years in Stevensville.
Helen was an avid reader, loved to garden, cook, bake and travel. Her favorite sport was major league baseball. She loved her many cats and dogs and held a special place in her huge heart for all animals. She will be deeply missed by her family and close friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one brother in St. Augustine, FL and many nieces and nephews. Whitesitt Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation arrangements. A private family burial will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date.
