Laughter Yoga

Artists Along the Bitterroot Show
The Artists Along the Bitterroot Studio Tour will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 6-8 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day throughout the Bitterroot Valley. NVPL First Friday
Listen to local musician this First Friday, June 6 at the North Valley Public Library. Will Bluefield plays guitar and sings a variety of folk, blues and rock songs. The 6th Annual Mutt Strut will be held Friday, June 6 at 6 p.m.

Sight and Hearing Benefit Golf Tournament
See and hear your way to join the Hamilton Lions and your friends at the Sight and Hearing Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 7 at the Hamilton Golf Course. Check-in is at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $325 for a 5-person team, or $75 a person. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and all others will be entered in a jackpot drawing. Hole in one prize for Hold 17 is a 2014 Bolt, Star Motorcycle and a hold in one prize for Hole 8 is a 2014 Viking FL 4×4 EPS. There is also a Best Team Name Contest. Trails Day at Travelers’ Rest
Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) invites the public to celebrate National Trails Day with a trail stewardship project at Travelers’ Rest State Park on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day is the country’s largest celebration of trails. You can commemorate the day by participating in the Travelers’ Rest State Park trail stewardship project. The trail system at Travelers’ Rest will be expanding in 2014 through a grant from the Recreational Trails Program. Volunteers will remove fencing along the parks entry road which will allow for trail construction to connect Travelers’ Rest to the existing pedestrian and bike path along U.S. Highway 12.
Following the stewardship project, volunteers can participate in a guided tour that will focus on other new and upcoming trail projects that will link the park to U.S. Highway 93 as well as to neighborhoods south of the National Historic Landmark.
Anyone interested in volunteering for this project should wear long pants, long sleeved shirt and bring a water bottle. If possible, bring work gloves and any fencing tools to help with the fence removal, although some gloves and tools will be provided. Senior Center benefit
A variety show fundraiser will be held Sunday, June 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Senior Center, 820 N. 4th Street. Along with various variety acts this annual fundraiser will include a silent auction, refreshments, and information from board members concerning the Center’s current roof status needs. Estimates are being received to replace the existing roof on the east side of the building. This work will need to be completed before flooring projects can be addressed. Swim Camp
Swim Camp at the Bitterroot Aquatic Center begins Monday, June 9 at 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for kids between the ages of 7 and 18. Swimmers need to be able to swim the length of the outdoor pool. Instructors will use their combined experience, bringing elements from older strategies and infusing them with the nuances from current college swimming programs. So many veterans feel confused about benefits and services they have earned. There is so much to know, and so many changes from one year to the next. That is why the nonprofit DAV (Disabled American Veterans) offers help.
