Missoula – Mary Lavonne Reiner, 78, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 of natural causes at her home in Missoula with all of her family by her side. She was born on December 4, 1935 in Hardin, Montana, the daughter of Willard F. and Lydia (Brotzman) Maul. Mary was married to Walter H. Reiner on July 13, 1974.
Mary has had a great love of embroidery for a large portion of her life and many of her family and friends have received her beautiful creations as gifts. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, country music, spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and also enjoyed stock car racing. She was a great, loving and adorable wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lydia, her brother, Delvin and numerous other relatives, including her in-laws, Toby and Rose Reiner. Survivors include her husband Walt Reiner; her children, Joan (Kevin) Parks, Ron (Jeanne) Anderson, Teri (Arnie) Kirkschenheiter; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one due to arrive in May. She truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April, 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Missoula City Cemetery with Chaplain Dan Dixson officiating. The family suggests memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to either Partners in Home Care Hospice or for diabetes research.
