My political spirit was rejuvenated this past Wednesday after reading the Star’s news report of Hamilton City Council’s vote of 6 to 0 against the appointment of County Commissioner Suzy Foss to Hamilton City’s Planning Board. Hooray for them!
Could this be a harbinger of good things to come?
I know Commissioner Foss is not old enough to remember, in fact, now that I think about it, she probably wasn’t born, when five star General Douglas MacArthur of WWII and Korean Police Action fame was returned to the United States for retirement. In making his farewell speech at West Point and Congress, he dramatically said, ”Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.”
This could be a great time for you to do a little fading, Commissioner Foss.
