Florence – Gayle Wells Radcliffe passed away after a short illness on February 22, 2014, in Florence, Montana, surrounded by her family.
Gayle was born to John and Helen Wells on October 20, 1936 in Stapleton, Nebraska. Later, she married the love of her life, Harold Lavern Radcliffe, from Arnold, Nebraska. Gayle continued to live in Southern California until 2009, when she moved to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana to be closer to her daughter, Lisa.
Those who knew Gayle will remember her as a wonderful listener with a quick laugh. She loved the color pink and often dressed in vibrant colors. She was always up for a game of Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit, and was a voracious reader her entire life. Little things brought her great joy: chocolate shakes, kittens, L.A. Laker games, country music, going to the movies or out to eat. Best of all, she liked spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Radcliffe Wallace and son-in-law Bryan Wallace of Florence, Montana, her son Kevin Radcliffe and daughter-in-law Michelle Radcliffe of North Platte, Nebraska, and five grandchildren, Matthew Wallace, Christina Wallace, TJ Naranjo, Jason Naranjo and Brandi Naranjo.
Gayle will be interred with her loving husband “Bugg” in Arnold, Nebraska later this summer.
