Hamilton – David L. Ashman, 69, of Hamilton passed away Friday, January 24, 2014.
He was born May 18, 1944 to Frank C. and June R. (Smith) Ashman. He grew up and was educated in the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada where he received a degree in Wildlife Biology. He began his career working for the Nevada Fish and Game Department and spent years studying Mountain Lions. Later on he was employed by Newmont Gold Company as a metallurgist. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing.
David was preceded in death by his father, Frank C. Ashman; his mother, June Ashman; and his cousin, Lody Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Ashman; his son, Russell Ashman of Hamilton; his brother, Ken Ashman (Joy) of Massachusetts; as well as extended family in Nevada, Massachusetts and Montana.
