Chad Donald Berard

Corvallis – Chad Donald Berard, 36 years of age, passed away January 2, 2014 at St. Patrick Hospital after a short and bravChad Donald Berardely fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Chad was born on November 16, 1977 in Missoula to David and Lori Berard. He attended high school in Stevensville. Chad was married to Gina Neaves in October of 1999. They later divorced in April 2008. Chad worked many various jobs. He was strong and capable and could do anything. Prior to his illness he worked for Knife River as a heavy equipment operator.
Chad was a lover of the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had many successful hunts bagging many elk and even a mountain lion. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler in the sand dunes. Chad was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying many recipes. Chad was a very loving, caring person. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and a great friend to many.
Chad was preceded in death by his great-grandparents on both sides of the family, his paternal grandfather, Donald Berard, his maternal grandfather, Jerome Johnson, his uncles, Raymond and Bryce, and his beloved dog, Trekker.
He is survived by his mother, Lori, his father, David (Hilde), his sister, Amber (Cris) and their children, Cameron, Tristan and Landen, his brother Brian (Bailee), his sister, Brieanne, his significant other, Carla and her children, Dylon and Cassidy, many cousins and his faithful canine companion, Hunter.
Chad will be greatly missed by us all. We will hold dear many cherished memories of him.
The family greeted friends for an evening of sharing on Friday, January 10 at the Whitesitt Funeral Home. A memorial to celebrate Chad’s life was held on Saturday, January 11 at the funeral home. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
