The Lady Tigers came from behind to top Victor, 46-45, in 13C action. The two teams battled back and forth with the lead changing hands several times. With 57 seconds left in the game, Victor held a two-point lead but a free throw by Siri Nojd reduced the margin by one point. Victor got the ball back but couldn’t hit a basket. Darby came away with the rebound and raced to the other end where Lauren Dolcater hit a long two-point shot to give Darby the lead with 46 seconds left. Victor had a couple more opportunities to score but didn’t get the ball to fall their way.
Lauren Dolcater and Nojd each had 11 points to lead Darby. Kelley Ehmann was also in double figures with 10 points for the Lady Tigers.
Ryanne Tracy led Victor’s scoring with 18 points. Freshman Payton Tillotson had 10 points and her sister, Haley, added nine points.
Friday night, Darby traveled to Lincoln where they won, 50-33. Lauren Dolcater had 18 points and Ehmann had 14.
Victor traveled to Drummond where they lost, 59-33. Haley Tillotson had 27 points for the Lady Pirates.
Hamilton picked up a couple of wins, one conference and one non-conference. The Lady Broncs defeated Corvallis in inter valley action, 59-26. Consistent play coupled with a strong defense kept Hamilton moving forward. Taylor Goligoski led all scorers with 23 points. Jaylee Albert added 16 and Sami Kratofil had 10 points.
Corvallis was led by freshman Corrine Sanders who had 13 points.
Hamilton defeated Polson on Saturday, 66-20. Goligoski had 29 points. Albert added 12 and Kratofil finished with 10 points.
Stevensville lost to Butte Central, 37-23. Carli Vercruyssen, Daye Miller and Kayla Peterson each had seven points.
Florence split their games over the weekend. The Lady Falcons topped Ronan, 58-42. Strong play in the second quarter gave Florence the edge, which they then built up over the second half. Freshman Megan Kowalski had 16 points to pace the Lady Falcons. Megan Byrne and Nikki Schurg added 12 and 10 points respectively.
Florence fell to Thompson Falls, 47-40. The Lady Falcons got off to a slow start and just couldn’t overcome the deficit. Byrne finished with 20 points.
