Stevensville registered voters receive their ballots by mail this week. Out of 1000 or so voters only around 500 people will actually cast their ballots in the mayoral election.
Mayor Gene Mim Mack’s administration skills benefit not only the town staff but also the town council and all citizens of zip code 59870.
As a Ward 2 Council Member of almost four years, I can personally attest to Gene’s accomplishments as mayor. Most recently, he presented a balanced budget in August 2014.
He also took the heat at town meetings regarding increased water and sewer rates. Please note that the mayor implements town council ordinances and resolutions only. He inherited prior council decisions. Gene guided many citizens through the reality of leaking toilets and sprinklers wasting water. I applaud his genuine concern for the financial impacts of our town water and sewer rates. Both budget billing and utility bill assistance are now available at town hall. These utility rates are directly tied to our bond debt repayment and cannot be changed.
Gene responded two years ago to the council’s belief in his administrative abilities. He stepped up to the daunting task of rebuilding town government after Groninger’s negative behavior nearly destroyed your town government.
When your ballot arrives this week vote Gene Mim Mack for Mayor, a proven leader and administrator.

No professional conflict of interest/morals in this council member suggesting who we should vote for?
