The Southwest A Divisional Golf tournament was held over the weekend in Dillon to determine who will advance to the state golf tournament in Polson this week. The top two teams and the top 15 individuals advance. Since there were only 14 girls who competed, all will advance.
The Hamilton boys finished second behind Anaconda and will move on. Josh Heath of Hamilton shot an 82 to finish in third place. Blaine Wetzsteon was six with an 88 and he was followed by Ky Burch in seventh place with a 90. Taylor Dowdy was ninth with a 92. Bridger Palin finished with a 95 and tied for 13th place.
Spencer Grooms of Stevensville finished 11th.
Hamilton will send five girls on to state. Sydni Rose was fourth with a score of 105. Emma Olbricht shot a 113 and finished ninth. Annie Carrol was 11th with 129 and Melissa Kimp and Eveanna Scott finished out the top 15 in 14th and 15th. Kimp shot a 143 and Scott had a 167.
