Stevensville defeated Corvallis, 26-7, in Southwest A action on the gridiron Friday night. The Yellowjackets built up a 14-point lead in the first quarter behind the play of Chris Lords. Lords ran in from five yards out and Chris Bergman kicked the PAT. Lords then caught a 41-yard pass from Jared Schultz for another touchdown. Bergman kicked the PAT. Lords found the end zone in the third quarter when Schultz sent him another pass. Schultz went to the air again for the final ‘Jacket touchdown. He hit Bergman from 15 yards out for the six points.
Corvallis scored when Jayce Gilder pushed through the line from one yard out. Cameron Ayers kicked the PAT.
Anaconda defeated Hamilton, 33-30. A late comeback fell short for the Hamilton Broncs in conference action. Josh Bauder hit Kris Cleveland from 14 yards out for the final touchdown of the game but could not cover the onside kick and retain possession of the ball. Bauder, who threw for over 300 yards, also hit Teague Blome with a 34 yard scoring pass and Abe Westfall from 34 yards out. Bauder also had a one-yard push for a score. The Broncs were also awarded a safety when Anaconda snapped the ball out of the end zone in the second quarter.
Charlo defeated Darby, 58-13, in Western C action. The Vikings put up 34 points in the first quarter alone. Darby scored in the first quarter when William Westfall recovered a block punt in the end zone. They scored again in the third quarter when Joe Caicedo hit Jedd Ruark with a 10 yard scoring pass. Garrett McCormack kicked the PAT.
Victor added another game to their win column on Saturday when they defeated Seeley-Swan, 66-14. Matt Kittel combined his passing and rushing for 260 yards. He completed 11 of 20 passes for 141 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 119 yards and touchdowns of one yard and two touchdowns for seven yards each. Freshman Jesse Pearson caught a 20-yard pass for the first score of the game. Kittel hit Brady Tuttle from 21 yards out, Nate Bishop from 30 yards out and Kolton Benish from 37 yards out for touchdown scoring passes. Pearson also had an eight-yard scoring run.
Whitehall defeated Florence on Saturday, 37-6. Brady Pickering had a three-yard run to put Florence on the board for their homecoming game.
