Stevensville, MT – Albert Burkhardt was welcomed in to heaven by his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 24th, 2013.
Albert was born February 27th, 1925 in Linton, ND to Fred and Hilda Burkhardt. The family moved to Montana in 1938. At age 17 he joined the Navy and served in WWII. He married Esther Derheim on Sept. 9th, 1949 in Billings. He moved to Missoula in 1967 where he worked in the timber industry until his retirement. They have two daughters, Cindy and Patty.
He enjoyed family, serving the Lord, church, farm auctions and recycling. His loving, cheerful and giving manner will be in the hearts of those he knew forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Hilda Burkhardt, sisters; Lillian, Elsie and Velma.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Esther; daughters Cindy and Patty; grandchildren Cory (wife Krista) and Albert; great grandchildren Jeanna, Callen and Teyla; siblings Ella, Betty, Florence, Vinola and Chris; five brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held July 27th at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Missoula, MT. Reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com
