Thanks to the sponsorship of the Stevensville Main Street Association, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Stevensville on Friday, June 21. Two shows, at 5 and 7:30 p.m., will be held “under the Big Top” at the corner of Middle Burnt Fork and Park. People can come to the site between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on Friday morning to watch the raising of the giant tent, and can get a free tour after the tent is up. Learn interesting facts about the performers, the history of the show and the different species of animals in this award-winning circus. In this presentation circus personnel will also address topics such as hygiene, grooming and the veterinary care that all of the animals receive.
