Hannah Porch and Hannah Sax combined to take first place in five events at the District 6B track meet in Missoula. Hannah Porch won the 100 and 200 meter sprints. She also took first in the triple jump and was second in the long jump. Hannah Sax won both the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. She was also third in the 100 and fourth in the 200. Hannah Porch, Sax, Tess Porch and Callie Hunt also won the 400 relay. Callie Hunt won the high jump. She was fourth in the triple jump and the javelin.
Tess Porch finished second in the 400 and the 200. She was fourth in the 100 and third in the 300 hurdles. Danika Geer finished third in the 800, fourth in the 1,600 and the 3,200. Jesica Desjarlas was fourth in the discus. A couple of younger tricksters also will advance. Hattie Huseby was fifth in the javelin. Alyssa Marquardt finished fifth in the shot put.
The Florence boys finished third behind Ronan/St. Ignatius and Deer Lodge. Carter Brady won the 400 and was third in the 100 and fourth in the 200. Brady Heffner was first in the 100 and second in the 200. Madison Bolton finished first in the 800 and second in both the 1,600 and the 3,200. Ryan Mangun won the discus and was third in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.
A group of underclassmen also flexed their muscles and will advance to the Western B Divisional in Missoula this week. Josh Jones was fourth in the 800 and the 1,600 for Florence. Kailer Scott was third in the 300 hurdles. Jesse Grebowska finished fifth in the javelin. Caleb Zabel was sixth in the javelin. Levi Clagett finished fourth in the high jump and Connor Thorne was fifth in the high jump.
