The Hamilton City Council passed an ordinance on first reading that restricts connections to city water and sewer to properties and buildings located within the city limits. The new requirement will become effective June 1, 2013 but will not apply retroactively to any properties already connected.
The council also approved a contract with Sirius Construction for $82,914.42 for construction of American Legion Park Phase II and authorized the Mayor to sign the splash pad equipment proposal from Northwest Playground Equipment for $26,018 as part of the American Legion Park Phase II construction as well.
The council adopted a theme for Arbor Day celebration: “Celebrate trees in our community.” The council is also sponsoring a poster contest with a submission deadline of April 22. A tree will be planted in River Park as part of the April 26 celebration.
