Busy week for track teams
Hamilton competed at the Frenchtown Invitational on Saturday in Missoula. The boys finished third in the five team field. In the sprints, Kyle Crossman was second in the 100. Adam Hanson finished fifth in the 100 and was fourth in the 200. Teague Blome was fifth in the 200. Cody Rockwell won the 400 with a time of 53.9. Schmalz was second in the 3,200 with a time of 10:03.10. Easton Albert was third with a time of 10:11.90. Kris Cleveland took third in the 110 hurdles and was second in the 300 hurdles. Hamilton took second in both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays. Kyle Borgen was fourth in the shot put. Zach Brown was fifth in the discus. Josh Bauder finished third in the javelin with a toss of 134’10, and Kyle Scovill was fifth with 123’5”. Kohn finished in a tie for second in the high jump with a leap of 5’6”. Westfall was fourth in the high jump and won the pole vault. He was fourth in the long jump and second in the triple jump. Crossman finished fifth in that event.
The Hamilton girls finished in third place. Avery Joyner finished third in the 400. Jaylee Albert was third in the 800 and Kaitlin Stromberg finished fourth in that race. Stromberg was second in the 1,600. Natalie Liechty finished second in the discus, fourth in the javelin and fifth in the shot put. Sami Kratofil was third in the javelin, fourth in the discus, second in the long jump, and third in the triple jump. Meg MacClean was second in the shot put with a throw of 29’6”. Joyner was second in the triple jump. Aleesha Redmon finished fifth in the discus. Albert finished in a three way tie for second in the high jump at 4’6”. Lauren Conway tied for fifth in that event. The Hamilton 4×400 relay team finished second.
The Florence girls finished second behind Plains at the Seeley-Swan Invitational which had 22 teams from across Western and Central Montana. Plains had 88 points while Florence had 67 points. Victor and Darby finished down in the pack.
Florence’s Hannah Porch won both the 100 and 200 sprints. She finished fifth in the long jump and third in the triple jump. Tess Porch was third in the 100 and 200, and sixth in the 300 hurdles. Hannah Sax finished foruth in the 100 hurdles and fifth in the 300 hurdles. The 4×100 relay team of Callie Hunt, Hannah Porch, Tess Porch and Sax was almost a second faster than second place Charlo. Callie Hunt was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 4’10”. Jessica DesJarlais threw the discus 106’5” and finished in second.
Keeley Ehmann of Darby finished fourth in the 200. The Darby relay team finished sixth in the 4×100 relay.
Victor’sCarlyjean Conley finished third in the discus with a throw of 98’6”. Desiree Charlton was fifth with 96’2”. Adrienne Cox finished sixth in the shot put with a put of 29’5”. Amber Ibey finished fourth in the high jump at 4’10”.
Thompson Falls won the boys team scoring with 82 points. Darby finished with 30 points, Florence with 26 and Victor with .5.
Florence’s Madison Bolton was a double winner. He clocked a 2:04.60 to win the 800 and ran the 1,600 in 4:47.04 to take that race. Carter Brady was third in the 200.
Matt Robbins of Darby finished sixth in the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. Dylan Knox finished fourth in the 300 hurdles. Colton Johnston was second in the discus with a toss of 135’3”. The Darby relay team of Colton Johnston, Matt Robbins, Tyler Morris, and Storm Wanstrath won the 400 relay in a time of 45.96. Darby’s 1,600 relay team finished third.
Victor’s only points came from Kyle Ball who tied for sixth in the high jump at 5’8”.
The Stevensville track team went to Dillon on Thursday. The boys finished third behind Dillon and Livingston.
Jadin Casey was a double winner. He won the 300 hurdles and was third in the 110 hurdles. He also won the high jump at 5’8”. Chris Lords was fifth in the 200, third in the 400, second in the high jump, and fifth in the javelin. Austin Lords won the triple jump with 41’1/2”. He finished second in the long jump and third in the 800. Jake Bartsetai was fifth in the 800. Ben Fernandez finished sixth in the 3,200. The 4×400 relay team finished third. Josh Parker was fifth in the long jump. Trevor Zeiler was sixth in the triple jump.
Cullan Williams of Corvallis finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 118’8”. Danner Miller finished fifth in the triple jump. Jerimiah Baker finished sixth in the pole vault.
Livingston finished first in the girls team scoring. Stevensville had 43 points and Corvallis finished with 23 points.
Katie Malachinski of Stevi was a double winner. She was first in the high jump at 5’2”, and was first in the triple jump with 31’11”. She took third in the 100 hurdles, and was third in the long jump. Bridget Butler was sixth in the 100 for Stevensville. She finished sixth in the 200, was sixth in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump. Stevensville’s 4×100 relay team finished third.
Rachel Sagwith of Corvallis finished fourth in the 3,200. Ashley White was sixth. The Blue Devil 400 relay team finished fifth while the 1,600 relay team finished third. Emeline Nevill took fifth in the shot put with 26’5”. Miranda Jessop was fifth in the discus with 77’5 1/2” . Jessica Casseus finished third in the pole vault.
