March 26, 2013 by Editor

Brandi Elizabeth Welty, at the age of 32, passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on Tuesday March 12, 2013. Brandi was horn October 25, 1980 at South Bend, Washington. Her parents Martine “Marty” and Elbert G. Welty were very proud. Brandi moved to Stevensville, Montana in 2005 with her mother and son. She had earned her GED in 2004. Brandi had never been married; however she was happily engaged to Justin DeBeaurd. They were to be married in April of 2013.

Brandi worked as a cashier at many stores in Stevensville, She was easily recognized by her smile. She always had a smile for everyone and was liked by so many. She had such a kind and warm heart. She was always willing to help anyway she could. Brandi enjoyed painting crafts, going for drives and laying out at the river. Her favorite thing was being a mom. Brandi was a devoted mother and daughter, an amazing sister, a true friend and a loyal fiance.

Brandi is preceded in death by her daughter Kira, her father Bert and Grandmothers Edge and Welty. She is survived by her 12 year old son Tyler, fiance Justin DeBeaurd and his two children Chance and Heavenly; her brother Shaun Welty, his wife Raquel and their daughter Kaycee Lynn of Stevensville; brother Arlando Welty and his significant other Chantelle of Missoula; her mother Martine Welty of Stevensville; aunts Renee and Manon, uncle Clinton and many cousins of Washington.

A celebration of her life was held on Friday, March 22 at the LDS church on Middle Burnt Fork and Main in Stevensville. Bishop Yaskus officiated the service and Sarah Springer read the eulogy. As per Brandi’s wishes, she was cremated and her family will have a private ceremony in late spring. Her ashes will be combined with her daughter Kira’s, and they will be spread on St. Mary’s mountain.

Donations to help family with costs can be made at Missoula Federal Credit Union.

Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
