Obituary – Carol Herbert

January 8, 2013 by Editor

Florence – Carol Herbert, age 82, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, with her family by her side in Florence, Montana. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, on Saturday, January 12, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5125 US Highway 93, south of Florence, MT.
Carol was born September 17, 1930, in Cleveland, OH to Adolph and Opal Scholl. As she grew up her love of music flourished in a home that valued and encouraged her musical talent. Attending the University of Michigan, School of Music she studied the piano and viola. After marrying the love of her life, Warren Herbert, she settled in the Cleveland area to raise her children and create a home. After several years the family moved to New Jersey where she developed a long lasting love of sandy beaches and warm ocean water. Always interested in faraway places, she was able to travel extensively with her best friend, her husband. She also developed an appreciation for the Creator of this beautiful earth, and shared her Bible based hope with many, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She enjoyed exploring, hiking and camping throughout Montana, Oregon and the southwest, capturing memories on film. Montana has been her home for the last 30 years.
She will be remembered by family and friends as a strong lady who faced a long illness with courage and a sense of humor.
Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years, Warren; son Mark Herbert and wife Chris; daughter, Gayle Scott and husband Bruce; grandsons, Jamie Herbert and wife Cassie; Ryan Scott, Evan Scott and Jesse Scott along with his wife Jill, and Carol’s great grandsons, Jaegar and Jaston.
Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
