One has to commend the members of the Board of Directors and the many volunteers that constitute the “Ravalli County Recycling” group in Hamilton. They have done a remarkable job in offering to the community an outlet to bring such things as cardboard, plastics, aluminum cans, steel, scrap metals, newspaper, office mix, magazines and the list goes on. Ravalli County Recycling is located on Old Corvallis Road (in Hamilton) across from the Fairgrounds adjacent to Habitat for Humanity. It is open on Mondays from 3 to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. On Saturdays there is a person on site to pay for metals and for aluminum cans. A complete list and other information can be found on the Internet site at ravallicoutyrecycling.org. One can also contact them at the telephone number 375-5398.
I would also like to commend the many people of the community who bring their recyclables to the drop site on Old Corvallis Road as well as the many businesses who bring their cardboard to the site. I would like to invite the many residents of Hamilton and of Ravalli County to join in this venture of recycling.
Thanks again to the Board of Directors and the many volunteers who make this project successful in our area.
