The Hamilton girls and boys soccer teams topped a couple of tough teams from the east on Friday and Saturday. The girls defeated Livingston, 3-0, and the boys defeated the Rangers, 2-0. On Saturday, Belgrade fell to the Broncs. The girls won, 4-3, and the boys won, 4-1.
The Hamilton girls scored twice in the first half and once more in the second to defeat Livingston, 3-0. Sami Kratofil took a pass from Karissa Pfantz and made the goal to put the Broncs on the board at the 14-minute mark. Jill Toews made an unassisted goal at 18 minutes. Hamilton’s final goal was made by Pfantz off of a Bri Huggans assist. Keeper Marina McGourty had seven saves in the game.
The Hamilton boys didn’t score until the 55th minute of the match against Livingston when Sam Kern made an unassisted goal. David Feldmann scored five minutes later for the Broncs. Niall Clancy had three saves for the Broncs.
The Hamilton boys topped Belgrade, 4-1, on Saturday. Kyle Crossman hit the first of two goals when he hit the back of the net with an unassisted goal at the 20-minute mark. Crossman’s second goal was at the 55-minute mark. Sam Kern then hit a goal off of a penalty kick at 23 minutes. Tannar Crossman scored at the 41-minute mark. Hamilton had 17 shots while Belgrade had two shots.
The Belgrade girls got on the scoreboard first but it was Hamilton’s last shot that gave the Broncs the game. Kratofil hit Kendal Gordon, who is a freshman, with the assist. Gordon converted the goal and the Broncs took the lead and the game, 4-3. Bre Orr scored back-to-back goals at the 21 and 48-minute marks. Toevs also had a goal for the Broncs. McGourty had five saves for Hamilton.
The Corvallis boys blanked Belgrade, 3-0, on Friday. Cameron Ayers took a Kyle Campbell assist at 26 minutes for the Blue Devils’ first goal. He also hit the last goal on an unassisted play at 73 minutes. D.J. Pekoc fielded an Ayers assist at 51 minutes for a goal as well. Corvallis keeper Shelby Gifford had two saves.
The Belgrade girls got the best of the Corvallis girls in their opening game. Belgrade won, 3-2. Ayden Eickhoff had a goal for Corvallis at 25 minutes. Belgrade then scored all of their goals before Katie Landis booted an Eickhoff assist to the net for the final goal. Roxy Rademacher had four saves for the Devils.
The Corvallis boys topped Livingston, 3-2, on Saturday. Ayers scored twice, once on a John Carmona assist at nine minutes, and again on an unassisted goal at 32 minutes. Pekoc hit the net off of a Kaiam Syester assist at 70 minutes. Keeper Gifford had 11 saves.
The Corvallis girls fell to Livingston, 3-1. Eickhoff scored the long Blue Devil goal off an Erika Allen assist. Rademacher had eight saves for the Blue Devils.
Both the Stevensville boys and girls fell to Whitefish.
