After reading Hazel A. Smith’s 3/21/2012 letter in the Star, I felt it necessary to comment. Should Obama say that he was the first person to set foot on the moon, I’ll bet that Hazel would believe that too! The facts demonstrate that, as president, Obama has:
1. Created roadblocks to economic prosperity,
2. Rammed a fiscally irresponsible Obamacare down our throats trying to benefit a few million people to the detriment of 300 million,
3. Nearly drove us into bankruptcy while ignoring repeated attempts to responsibly cut spending,
4. Significantly reduced our Defense Department capabilities through funding cuts,
5. Ruined our reputation as a leader in the free world,
6. Created class warfare over taxes,
7. Eliminated new oil exploration and production on federally controlled lands allowing rising gas prices,
8. Poured taxpayer money down a rat hole trying to finance “green” energy,
9. Demonstrated leadership skills of a community organizer, and
10. Capably demonstrated that he likely will go down in history books as the worse president ever!
If that record demonstrates that Obama should be reelected, then Obama has a bridge for sale in downtown Chicago!

Your “record” of “facts” is slightly biased by your enthusiastic political fervor. I’m taking the liberty to annotate your “facts’. Hope you don’t mine.
1. Created roadblocks to economic prosperity (I thought that roadblock came in the form of MASSIVE recession and Bank COLLAPSE starting in December of 2007.) 2. Rammed a fiscally irresponsible Obamacare down our throats trying to benefit a few million people to the detriment of 300 million (Estimates show there are at least 50 million uninsured, not a FEW) 3. Nearly drove us into bankruptcy while ignoring repeated attempts to responsibly cut spending (He offered the Grand Bargain that effectively cut twice as much from the deficit that the republicans were offering. Cantor walked out.) 4. Significantly reduced our Defense Department capabilities through funding cuts (Um, that was the result of the failed “Super Committee” negotiations. Those cuts triggered when they could not come to an agreement. A committee of equal parts repub and dems) 5. Ruined our reputation as a leader in the free world (Not sure were you get this one, sounds good and negative. However, I have a friend from Ireland who says he thinks America is “The Bomb!” that means “great”) 6. Created class warfare over taxes (No, the refusal of other parties to tax their very rich rich friends at the same level of ordinary working people created that word. Self fulfilling prophecy. Also, cutting taxes for the very very rich and making it up from cutting entitlements is reverse Robin Hood) 7. Eliminated new oil exploration and production on federally controlled lands allowing rising gas prices (almost all Economists agree. The high prices of gas are from the Oil Speculation sector. The same thing that happened under Bush Jr’s watch, when gas prices went even higher than they are now. A new and exotic economy not based on supply and demand has emerged due to the energy specualtors.) 8. Poured taxpayer money down a rat hole trying to finance “green” energy (Yeah, that was a dumb move, but jeez, i’ve made bad investments before) 9. Demonstrated leadership skills of a community organizer (Thats hard to back up, I call that pure and unadulterated bias.) 10. Capably demonstrated that he likely will go down in history books as the worse president ever! (um, that would be Bush Jr., everybody in the know agrees!)
