Last week, the Lady Yellowjackets suffered a bitter loss at the hands of Anaconda. Friday night, the girls in black came out focused and ready to redeem the loss. Stevensville jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in their 63-24 Southwest A victory.
Stevensville is sitting solidly in third place in the conference with a record of 5-2 in conference play and 9-3 overall. The team shot well in the match against the Blue Devils. Baylee Bergman had a career high 17 points. Alycia Sims had 21 points and Kyla Paulsen had 19 points including two treys and went 9 of 10 from the charity line. Stevensville shot 64 percent from the free throw line.
Corvallis struggled to get past the swarming defense of the Yellowjackets. Their go-to player, Lakyn Connors finished with seven points but just couldn’t penetrate into the paint the way she normally does.

On Thursday, Corvallis played Anaconda. Connors finished with 21 points but it wasn’t enough as the Blue Devils fell, 75-29.
Hamilton also played Anaconda, the No. 3 team in the Southwest A conference, this week. The Lady Broncs came out on fire and quickly built a lead in the first quarter. The Copperheads came back to close the gap but Hamilton was able to hold on for the 52-51 win. Freshman Taylor Goligoski had 23 points and Mary Conwell added 11 in the win.

Hamilton fell to Missoula Loyola in non-conference action on Thursday. The two teams battled back and forth but Hamilton just couldn’t overcome the Breakers and lost by one point, 31-31. Goligoski had 13 points to lead the Lady Broncs.
Florence also split their games this week with a win over conference foe Deer Lodge and a non-conference loss to Frenchtown. The Lady Falcons rallied back from a 10-point deficit to score 27 points in the fourth quarter and top Deer Lodge, 57-55. Cody Miller broke out for 14 points for Florence and freshman Megan Byrne had 12 in the win.

Florence lost to Frenchtown, 73-30. Frenchtown is currently ranked No. 1 in the Class A ranks. Kyndall Hoff had nine points to lead Florence. Their record is now 6-1 in conference play and 11-6 overall.
Victor picked up an overtime win against Alberton on Friday. After leading at the end of the first quarter by four points, the Lady Pirates went cold in the second quarter. They rallied to regain the lead but Alberton came back to tie the game at the end of regulation play at 38 all. They battled through the overtime period and it looked like Alberton would win but Victor’s Ryanne Tracy hit a trey to tie the game again at the buzzer. Victor picked up their defense and held the Panthers to only two points in the 51-46 win.

Victor lost to Valley Christian on Saturday, 53-33. Skye Mitcham had nine points to lead the Lady Pirates.
Darby topped St. Regis, 34-25. Balanced scoring was the key to the Tiger win. Julie Abrahamsen had nine points to lead her team. Lauren Dolcater had eight points, and Lacey Dolcater and Brianna Massey each had seven points.
