Long-time coach and athletic director Sam Baerlocher of Florence was recently honored by the Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association as the 2011-2012 Class B athletic director of the year. He was nominated by Florence superintendent John McGee who said Baerlocher’s efforts on behalf of the students were outstanding. He noted Baerlocher is active in all facets of the organization aspect of Class B sports. “He always goes above and beyond what is expected to help the students.”
