NEW MEETING TIMES FOR STEVENSVILLE TOWN COUNCIL
Effectively immediately, Town Council meetings will be held in the Town Hall on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month except December when they will be held on only the 2nd Thursday. This is a change from meeting on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.

TOWN OF STEVENSVILLE
It is the intention of the Town of Stevensville, due to the increasing number of accidents at the intersections of all cross streets of E. 3rd Street from Main to Park Street, that all cross streets will be controlled through the placement of new stop signs at all intersections. These will replace the Yield signs at all intersections. Public comment in writing will be received at Town Hall, 206 Buck Street, until 2-1-2012. After public comment has been considered, placement of the signs will begin during the week of 2-6-2012. If significant objections are raised through written comment, the Town Council will review the decision.

STEVENSVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
Council and the Mayor for the Town of Stevensville will hold a special meeting on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers at Town Hall. The following items will be up for discussion and/or vote:
• Approval of contract for Police Department DUI task force;
• Approval of contract between the Town of Stevensville and State of Montana Main Street Association;
• Approval of job description for water/sewer operator.
Following the above special meeting, the Council and the Mayor will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting. The following items will be up for discussion:
• Update of water/sewer projects from PCI and HDR Engineering firms;
• Presentation/update by Chief Marble of Police Department operations;
• Matching funds for the TIFD project.

PUBLIC NOTICE
NORTH FORK RYE CREEK NEAR DARBY LOCATION CHANGE
The Bitterroot Conservation District (BCD) will conduct a public hearing on February 21, 2012 in Darby, Montana at the Darby City Hall, 101 East Tanner Avenue. (This public hearing location was previously advertised to be held in Hamilton.) The purpose is to gather comments prior to making a declaratory ruling pertaining to whether the BCD has jurisdiction over a pond near North Fork Rye Creek and would therefore be covered under the Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act. The watercourse is located in Section 25, Township 3 North, Range 20 West near Darby, Montana.
Interested persons were encouraged to submit written statements, data, and information to the BCD, 1709 North First Street, Hamilton, Montana, 406-363-5010, by January 18, 2012. Rebuttals to information submitted to the BCD may be sent to the above address by February 10, 2012. Written materials must be verified. A copy of the verification form and the complete schedule can be obtained from the BCD.
All materials submitted on this matter may be viewed at the Darby Library beginning January 20, 2012. Rebuttal information may be viewed at the Darby Library beginning February 14, 2012. Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
