
Twelve teams were on hand for the annual Hamilton Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. Salmon, Idaho, won the team scoring with Corvallis taking second. The majority of Corvallis’ varsity was in Butte at the Mining City duals. Hamilton/Victor finished seventh and Florence right behind at eighth.
Florence had two champions. Keenan Hendrickson defeated Drummond’s Tom Paxton with a pin at 1:17 for the championship at 189. Kody Davidson topped Salmon’s Nick Scheihing with a pin at 1:55 at 130 pounds. Corvallis’ Riley Jessop won the 135-pound championship with a 7-0 decision over Baylee Butt, also of Corvallis. Tyler Olsen defeated teammate Bryan DuBose with a pin at 2:57 in the 119-pound division. Hamilton also had two champions. Derick Sisneros took an 8-4 decision over another Bronc, Colton Cox at 112 pounds. The 125-pound division matched up Michael Ledford against teammate Kyle Lubke. Ledford pinned Lubke at 3:44.
